Melinda Mayor is a performer and writer based in Montmartre. A gifted actress and cabaret artist, her theatre and musical work has taken her to stages in France, the UK, the US, and India. Melinda’s original plays have featured at the Vancouver Fringe Festival (Vancouver, Canada), Lost Theatre’s One Act Festival (London, UK), and Montmartre Dionysia (Paris, France). Favourite roles include Lady (formerly Lord) Capulet in Cygnet Theatre’s nearly-all-female production of Romeo and Juliet, and as one of the harrowed-but-hilarious mothers in Koël Purie Rinchet’s Mummy’s Dead, Long Live Mummy! As a writer, Melinda’s work has been published in a number of essay collections and online magazines, and her flash fiction piece Something Big was long listed for the Bath Flash Fiction Award. Melinda’s latest one-woman show, From Paris with Anxiety, will be making its debut this year at the Bitesize Festival at Riverside Studios in London.
